Does it support powering the camera on/off using the remote?

I accidentally turned them off and this doesn't turn them back on

Have you ever encountered these settings reverting by themselves. I set them up like shown, RAW to both cards, I rotate between M, S, A modes and when i change to them, they seem to forget what they were set to. Ive the latest firmware, Ive tried all of my cards too

Can you record different video file types simultaneously? If you have a fast card on slot 1 and shot 10bit there and 8bit on slot 2 on a slower card for example

Amazing video! Hmm I wonder what I am doing wrong. I got the Sony a7c ii (basically the Sony a7iv but compact) and the 200-600, and I can spam take photos at 1/2000 in good lighting conditions with birds at the same distance as your kites, and pretty much all of them come out soft. Especially if the birds are flying against the backdrop of a blue/white sky. I don't know at this point whether this "softness" is actually softness or just exposure insufficience because of the bright sky backdrop. You mentioned you set the tracking sensitivty to high, shouldn't it be low? or are we talking about two different things. I have set mine to 1 out of 5 because that says "Locked On" which I assume dmeans it wont so quickly change focus to branches and other stuff that may come in the frame

Hello , Between a Sony 200 - 600 mm lens And a Sony 100-400 F 4.5 - 5.6 with a multiplier of 1.4 to use on a Sony A7 IV which of the two solutions is better for sports photos at night with very good lighting?

Great video...but...Its the Sony 200-600/5.6-6.3 for me...Bit of a price price difference and I already have the Sony fe 70-200/4..(both used with A7C bodies)..Cheers

Thanks for the quick and easy way. Question on a problem My Sony A7iv camera. it keeps on freezing and the focus is off. I have to shut it off and restart it and it goes back to normal operation ( sometimes i have to shut it of twice) At this time after 11/2 years, Precision has stated that the replaced the Mecha device and the problem still exists. any thoughts on this problem?

Hi tim, Do you know how to rapair to conect to another camera?

I am a new member of Alpha Shooters and am still getting to know the A7R5, which I purchased to take advantage of its advanced auto focus specifically for wildlife and birds in flight. Coming from a Leica SL2, I generally prefer "back button only" focus in almost all circumstances, though with the SL2 you can can program "back button focus only" differently for each profile, including even my "manual focus" profile (i.e., even in manual focus you can set the camera to enable back button focus - very convenient). Can you do this with the A7R5? I have set up three profiles/modes on the Mode Wheel: (1) Birds in Flight (AF/C) @ 1/2500, etc.; (2) Stationary Birds (AF/C @ 1/500, etc.); and (3) General Shooting (AF/C @ 1/200, etc.). I have also programmed two of the back buttons to recall (1) and (2), and the way Sony cameras work I have to keep the button pressed at all times to, for example, shoot in (1) BIF if I start in another mode. That means I don't have a finger free to use back buttin only focus while toggling to BIF. So, I want to set up Modes 1 and 2 with standard shutter autofocus, and then I would like to use back button only focus in (3) General and Manual. Thus, when I toggle to (1) BIF, for example, from Manual I would have shutter actuated focus as long as I hold the button down. Is that possible with the A7R5? Or, as I fear, is it that once you have engaged back button only focus, that applies in all modes (Sony's version of Leica profiles)?

So if I'm using the CHS-II card in the slot one, to gain any benefit, I can't use and Simult or Sort option on the camera? because that will drag me down to CHS-I speed? Then the best way to use CHS-II card for this camera is to just shooting RAW with single CHS-II card?
